Box Joints on the Bandsaw. This is a cabinet for a small horizontal band saw. There are some features that were required to facilitate the saw and the motor and I thought box joints would be a nice touch and not too much trouble. I did a small test box joint on the bandsaw. I was happy with the way in came out so I incorporated the box joints on this cabinet. This box is made from ¾ inch Baltic birch. It would have been plenty strong any way I built it; the box joint is just cool. I saw Jimmy Diresta make similar box joints for a wooden toolbox. Working on this video I remember how much I dread working on the floor like this; my back is sore thinking about it. I need to make some workbenches! I hope you enjoyed this video.
