diy: faux stone paper mache clay bunny. diy: faux stone paper mache clay bunny
clay I used was a little too soft and easy to accidentally smoosh.
take a bit of paper mache clay, roll into a ball, using paper mache paste over the top to smooth it. that helps allow you to make indents for details without the clay tearing.
poke, pinch and smooth until you get a shape you like, then allow to dry on a piece of wax or parchment paper until completely dry.
once dry it shouldn't be completely smooth. use a darker color paint to get into all the deeper indents if desired and wipe away the excess. add and remove layers of paint, until you get a look you like.
•paper mache paste
•paper mache clay- or egg cartons soaked and pulped, held together with some glue
• acrylic paint
•I'm using a make up wedge sponge to apply paint
